Greeting from ASSOCHAM!!!

The Government of India has taken a number of steps to foster technological adaptation and incorporation in various sectors i.e. manufacturing and service sectors. Opening up of foreign markets, ease of doing business, incubation centres & start-up in various IITs and IIMs are driving faster adaptation of technology and have resulted India to 3rd most preferred  investment destinations for technology transactions in the world.

Unquestionably, this advancement has affected every sector that came into contact with, including the legal sector. The Technology developments are pushing courts, lawyers and legal services to incorporate new ways to doing things and incorporating technology in doing day to day things.  Lawyers, Judges and Law Educationists need to now work in a global, dynamic and technologically diverse framework.

One broad and current interest in the legal community is the impact of their profession of super-fast computers with the capacity to simulate human intelligence and decision-making like artificial intelligence (AI). Also, ideas like online legal research and e-courts are now becoming a reality now. The INDIAN TECH-LAW Conference 2018 will bring industry and academia together to explore the future for law firms and will provide their thoughts and insights on how law firms will be very different in a decade from now.
