| In India patient care has been a priority as a result India has emerged as a hub for medical tourism. However, the matter of quality and safety could not keep pace with growth as current standards being more voluntary in nature and are defined by different agencies either from India or abroad. Challenge is further compounded since majority of Indian population is rural and poor; needs affordable healthcare services with adequate quality & safety standards. The other challenge is expanding middle class which is demanding best of the healthcare services and putting pressure on the existing infrastructure including biomedical instrumentation, analytical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, etc. These challenges make quality and safety a vital issue to be addressed at the highest level. more... |

| India’s growth-story in recent years is a most phenomenal development in the world economy. | Grid connected, installed solar power capacity has increased substantially over the past two years. The Government’s generation based incentive and other policy initiatives have been instrumental in promoting megawatt scale solar power projects. The year 2010 witnessed the launching of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). Incentives provided by the JNNSM have encouraged private investment in installing capacities. Successful implementation of the various projects under JNNSM will have long term implication for the future energy needs of the country. With the installation of a number of megawatt scale projects, the mission has already started showing great promises for the future.
