The average growth till 2012 is predicted at the rate of 4-5% depending on area and application. Study shows that world markets demand will be higher for Geotextiles, Industrial textiles and Building textiles whereas lower growth rate is seen in sectors like Hometextiles and Clothtech textiles. World end use consumption of Technical Textiles was US $120 billion in 2007-2008 which in volume terms 21 million tons.
