We are delighted to inform you that the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is organizing a National Seminar on “Public Private Partnership – Enhancing Capacity for Growth” on 21st February, 2013 at Hotel Capitol Hill, Ranchi.

On this prestigious occasion, we have invited Dr. Syed Ahmed, Hon’ble Governor, Jharkhand as the Chief Guest to inaugurate the Seminar. We have also invited Shri Madhukar Gupta, Adviser, Hon'ble Governor, Jharkhand to grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour. Besides Senior Government Officials, several prominent industry representatives and banks have also been invited to join us at the occasion and thereby making the discussion more effective.

Physical infrastructure is an integral part of development of an economy which provides basic services that people need in their everyday life. The contribution of infrastructure for economic growth and speedy development is an undisputed fact. Well developed physical infrastructure provides key economic services efficiently, improves the competitiveness, extends vital support to productive sectors, generates high productivity and supports strong economic growth.

In a progressive State like Jharkhand, the investment requirements are mammoth and cannot be met by the Public Sector Entities alone due to various constraints. This calls for participation of Private Sector in coordination with the Public Sector to develop the requisite infrastructure amenities.

The discussion would include issues related to the various investment opportunities, execution of such projects and the measures taken by the State Government for promotion of such collaborations.
