ASSOCHAM Welcomes US Approving Of Indo-US Nuclear Deal

ASSOCHM President Mr. Sajjan Jindal complemented the UPA Government to take the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Agreement to logical conclusions, and fought immediate amendment to Atomic Energy Act 1962 to enable private sector to take part in nuclear power generation.

 

 

Mr. Jindal specially complemented the UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and External Affairs Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee under whose combined leadership, the initiative to sign Indo-US Nuclear Deal are effected.

 

 

According to ASSCHAM, with Indo-US Civil Agreement in place, a minimum of Rs. 2 lakh crore investments would come in Nuclear Power Generation Sector in next 15 years.

 

 

The Deal is significant and India should welcome it unanimously.
