ASSOCHAM formalises the MoU with Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Strengthen Bilateral Trade and Investment

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) today formalise the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) by exchanging in front of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis and Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The MoU was signed in Mumbai by Mr. Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM, and Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh on behalf of VCCI. The agreement is to enhance economic cooperation, promote bilateral trade, and facilitate investment opportunities between India and Viet Nam.

Under the agreement, both organizations will actively support the expansion of two-way trade and investment by facilitating regular exchange of business information, market insights, and investment opportunities. The MOU was exchanged in between Mr. Milind Hardikar, Chair Maharashtra State Development Council ASSOCHAM and Chairman of VCCI Mr. Ho Sy Hung.

A key focus of the collaboration will be to enable closer interaction between businesses from both countries through structured engagements, including trade delegations and networking initiatives. The two chambers will also work towards developing annual action plans to drive tangible outcomes from this partnership.

Mr. Milind Hardikar, Chair Maharashtra State Development Council ASSOCHAM, said, “India and Viet Nam are emerging as strong economic partners in the Indo-Pacific, with immense untapped potential for trade and investment collaboration. This MoU marks a strategic step towards creating a more structured and sustained engagement between industry stakeholders of both countries.”

The partnership aims to deepen commercial engagement between the two countries by fostering stronger business linkages, encouraging exchange of trade missions, and promoting collaboration across key sectors including education, tourism, primary industries, and resource sectors.

This partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening India–Viet Nam economic ties and creating new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
