Under a three-year project agreement, ASSOCHAM will now act as a 'Centre of Excellence for Tribal Entrepreneurship Development' with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, to work for the upliftment of our tribal communities. The main objective of the 'Tribal Entrepreneurship Development Programme' is to optimize the contribution of these tribal artisans to the growing economy of our country and support India's vision of becoming Atmanirbhar. The 'ASSOCHAM Centre of Excellence' will promote and support entrepreneurship across Indian tribal communities, assist in connecting agriculture and forest produce with markets using technology, aid create self-help groups, promote tribal art form, traditional medicines , spices, empowering tribal women, and creating self-sustainable enterprises.
