Arbitration Council


Considering the overstressed judicial system with the huge backlog
of cases in the Courts , Arbitration is gaining importance globally. With a lot of commercial disputes, it’s necessary to have a proper arbitration mechanism for faster resolution of disputes. With this in mind, the ASSOCHAM has formed its National Council for Arbitration in the year 2018 and Mr K K Sharma, Senior Advocate has been nominated as the chairman of the National Council for Arbitration, ASSOCHAM. Mr Sharma is also a Member of the Arbitration Lawyers of the 36 Group, London, U.K.  Since 2018, the Arbitration Council has been thriving for reducing the burden of the Court by introducing Arbitration as a medium of resolving disputes. The National Council for Arbitration ASSOCHAM has been organizing various national and international conferences on various topics of Arbitration, its Procedure and Enforcement of Foreign Awards. This Council has been successful in inviting various Barristers, QCs in its conferences for exchange of knowledge and experience. The National Council for Arbitration,ASSOCHAM is also actively involved in addressing various industries on the issue of resolving the disputes and has been encouraging the industries to approach the Arbitrator instead of Court.
