The various stakeholders which are directly or indirectly involved in the council includes Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, SFAC, APEDA, NDDB, ICAR, CSIR, NCCD, MPEDA etc.
The core functions of Agriculture Council includes Public policy advocacy, Promotion of innovation, Training and Research Programmes, Exhibitions, Conferences along with organising workshops, training programmes, panel discussions, round-table meetings etc. The Chairman for this council is Mr. Jai Shroff, Global CEO, UPL and the Co-chairman is Mr. Rajvir Rathi, Head-Agricultural Policy & Stakeholder Affairs, Bayer Crop Science.
