The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is the country's oldest and most agile apex chamber, always evolving with the times ever since it was set up in 1920. The ASSOCHAM reaches out to and serves over 4.5 lakh members from trade, industry and professional services through over 400 associations, federations and regional chambers spread across the length and breadth of the country. It has built a strong presence in states, as also spread its wings in the key cities of the world.

Latest technology used world over in cold chain sector, is making inroads in India. And with the government sanctioning new cold chain projects in the recent past, the demand for more efficient cold storages is going to increase in the future. Indian agriculture urgently needs a third revolution: The COOL REVOLUTION to build efficient market links through a sustainable cold chain. Hence, with further support from government, new players are going to enter India and a platform is required where these latest know how, equipments and infra facilities gets noticed and new players are made aware of. To reach its full economic potential and to achieve the mission of doubling the income of farmers as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

The Indian cold chain market was worth INR 1,121 Billion in 2018. The market is further projected to reach INR 2,618 Billion by 2024, growing at a CAGR of 14.8% during 2019-2024. Cold chains impart storage and distribution services for products that have to be maintained at a given temperature. The recent announcement by Hon’ble Finance Minister, to geo-tag India’s cold storage facilities by NABARD to help them become more efficient is an exemplary step towards the development of the Cold Chain Facility.
