Maharashtra IT sector is one of the top notch sectors in the state with maximum thrust, development and investment. The Government of Maharashtra is focusing on providing IT related infrastructure, fiscal Incentives to IT units and an institutional framework for the IT sector. In recent years, a range of e-Governance projects have been launched that make Maharashtra a great place to live in.
 
Known as the trade and commerce capital of India, Mumbai is also the financial centre of the country. The state of Maharashtra has emerged as a key hub for ICT, electronics, and the captive business outsourcing industries. The state is an attractive investment destination as it offers a wide range of subsidies, fiscal and policy incentives and other advantages to big and small investors from India and abroad.
 
We are happy to inform you that The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in association with the Directorate of Information and Technology (DIT), Government of Maharashtra and with the support of Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India (DietY), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India(DST), National Informatics Centre (NIC), Bharat Broadband Network Limited (BBNL), National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is pleased to organize a Summit on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Development with the theme “Bridging the Digital Divide in Maharashtra on 7th August 2014 at Hotel Four Seasons Mumbai. The objective of the Summit is to promote and felicitate the use of unique and innovative initiatives in Governance, Education, Health, Agriculture and many more across the country.
 
You will be delighted to know that we have invited Shri Prithviraj Dajisaheb Chavan, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra, to inaugurate the National Summit as the “Chief Guest” along with Shri Balasaheb Bhausaheb Thorat, Hon'ble Minister for Revenue & Khar Lands, Government of Maharashtra and Shri Narayan Tatu Rane, Hon'ble Minister for Industries, Ports, Employment and Self-Employment, Government of Maharashtra as “Guest-of-Honor”. Besides, the key decision makers from enterprises, regulators, government policy makers, education institutes, healthcare providers, technology service providers, system integrators and vendors are also invited.
