PRE BUDGET SEMINAR Forthcoming Mega Indirect Tax Changes

At present the India is at cusp of major transformation with development as present Government’s key policy direction. Indirect tax reforms being key enablers for economic growth, we expect major changes in the indirect tax structure and tax administration in the near future. ASSOCHAM has been a catalyst in government’s policy formulation and providing platform for different stakeholders for building consensus. Recently ASSOCHAM has suggested far reaching changes in the indirect tax administration. Next Union Budget is expected to start the process of major Indirect tax reforms including presenting a road map for introduction of Goods and Service Tax (GST) and reforms in tax administration.
In the above context, ASSOCHAM is organizing a Pre Budget Seminar (Indirect Taxes) on 12th November 2014 at Le Meridien, New Delhi to discuss the tax issues currently faced by different sectors and the implications of the tax changes which may be expected in the forthcoming Union Budget. It will also provide opportunity to the participants to make suggestions for pre-Budget Memorandum which will be presented to the Government.  The Seminar is to focus on the issues related to Indirect Taxes of the various industries for the consideration of the Government for the forthcoming budget.
