29 January, 2015

About the Event  | Sponsorship Details | Registration Form

We are happy to inform you that ASSOCHAM is organizing a conference on “Industry-Academia linkage” on 29th January 2015 at “Hotel Lalit-The Great Eastern”; Kolkata at 11 am.

In recent times we have observed that there has been a slump in hiring from the institutions of West Bengal. It may be due to the impact of global employment scenario or lack of employment compatibility quotient between the academia (which produces) and industry (which recruits).

The objective of doing this conference is to have the students, academicians, private sector education entrepreneurs and other stakeholders of academia interact and discuss with members of corporate India to understand and bridge the “employability gap”.

The conference would be inaugurated by Dr. Ashis Banerjee (Minister of State for Education; Govt of West Bengal).

This would be an excellent opportunity for the private sector education entrepreneurs, students, academicians to understand the gaps and way forward with respect to hiring and employment.
A number of prominent corporate personalities/HR Heads of companies have confirmed to share their deliberation in the said conference.

Sponsorship opportunities for the conference is also available the details of which are attached herewith. You are requested to participate /nominate your colleagues for this meaningful conference (Registration form is attached herewith). As a special gesture there is a provision for “registration at subsidized rate” for the students.
