An India that is innovative, creative, and inclusive is impossible without all stakeholders being together at one platform not only to be able to discuss and debate upon an action plan but for being able to interconnect with each other so that effective models, cooperation and concrete action on the ground can be formulated. In view of this, ASSOCHAM is organizing the 2nd “India: Innovative, Creative and Inclusive” (ICI) Summit with the theme “India: Entrepreneurial, Creative & Innovative” on 19th May, 2016 at Hotel Le Meridien in New Delhi. Shri. Y. S. Chowdary, Hon'ble Minister of State for Ministry of Science & Technology & Earth Sciences, Government of India has kindly agreed to grace the occasion as a Guest of Honour.
The Summit is supported by The Department of Science and Technology, Department of Electronics and Information Technology and ICMR.
The Objective: To bring the critical stakeholders on a common platform and deliberate upon chartering a roadmap for the development of an ecosystem for promoting innovations across sectors to achieve inclusive growth in the country.
 
Background: Innovation has become a key differentiator for economies seeking to thrive and create competitive advantage. Innovation is necessary to push the frontiers of knowledge, create cutting edge technologies and thereby sustain India’s progress in today’s competitive environment. There is also a need for a continuous reform in India’s infrastructure, innovation culture and dynamic leadership to sustain the growth of innovation. For this to happen a strong and vibrant innovation ecosystem shall be the key. An innovation ecosystem comprises all the constituent parts required to enable an innovation and entrepreneur based economy. It is characterised by the interactions that take place between the stakeholders in the ecosystem to facilitate innovation.
