The Delhi‐Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is a massive $100 billion project that envisages the transformation of a vast strip of land stretching across 150 Km on each side of the high‐speed 1483 KM long corridor. The DMIC seeks to create strong economic base with globally competitive environment and state-of-the-art infrastructure to activate local commerce, enhance foreign investments and attain sustainable development. It is approximately 43 % contribution to the country’s GDP. It is one of the biggest industrial development projects ever undertaken by the Government of India and aims to boost the manufacturing and export sector and promote industrial and economic development in the country.
 
The objective is to expand India's manufacturing and services base and develop DMIC as a "Global Manufacturing and Trading Hub". DMIC will lead to planned urbanization with manufacturing as key driver. It is estimated that development of DMIC will offer employment opportunities for 3 Million people with over 67% in the manufacturing / processing industry.
 
Therefore, with the objective of discussing the various investment opportunities and issues in Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, ASSOCHAM is organizing an International Summit DMIC – HUB FOR INVESTORS –Issues and Solutions- at 09:30 am on July 14, 2016 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. We have invited Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Commerce & Industry to address the participants at the summit. The Summit will be attended by large number of manufacturers, service providers including national and international stakeholders.
