“The Fourth Generation Warfare is more about being prepared to tackle Internal Security challenges by the police then facing External aggression by the Army”- Shri Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor stated while speaking at the 67th batch of IPS officer trainees’ parade held at the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy (SBVPNPA) in Hyderabad.

As widely reported in the media, the Home Ministry has received higher gross allocation of funds in 2016-17. The total budget allocation for 2016-17 for the Home Ministry is Rs. 77,923.12 crore which is 10.38% more compare to the revised estimate of 2015-16.

The ASSOCHAM, India’s Apex & Oldest Chamber for Commerce & Industry is in touch with the Police Modernization Division in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and also with the different State Police Departments to understand their upgradation and modernization needs.

The ASSOCHAM National Council on Homeland Security had successfully organized the 4th International Conference on “A Safe City: Architecture for India” last year which was addressed by the Hon’ble Minister for Home Affairs, Government of India and Joint Secretary, Police Modernization, Government of India and several other Senior Officials from the Ministry and the State Police Departments.

We are pleased to inform you that the, ASSOCHAM is proposing to organize the 5th International Conference and Exhibition on Homeland Security with this year’s Theme as “Industry Role in National Security” on 16th & 17th August 2016 at Hotel Shangri-La, New Delhi from 09:30 am to 04:00 pm.

Based on the stakeholders inputs the Conference & Exhibition will cover topical subjects including IEDs, Border Security, Digital Security, Emergency Management, Forensic Science, Airport Security, Policy on Drones/UAV, Public Private Partnership and Procurement Policy for Security Equipments.
