During the last three years, several developments have shaped the mining sector in India.  Introduction of new policies are expected to revive growth in the sector.  At the same time, enhanced activity in the manufacturing sector will raise the demand for minerals. While the central government is focusing on promoting exploration through a new Mineral Exploration Policy, it is exhorting the state governments to complete detailed exploration and auction out mines faster.

In order to discuss the above and related issues, ASSOCHAM with the support of Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Steel is organizing its annual “India Mining Summit 2017Enabling Policy Framework” to be held on 4th August 2017 at Hotel Le- Meridien in New Delhi.

Dr. Aruna Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Shri Arun Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Mines and Shri Rajender Kumar Kataria, Secretary (Mines), Government of Karnataka has agreed to address the above summit.

The objective of the summit is to discuss the key issues affecting the Mines and Mineral sector in the country and would be a platform for exchange of ideas by various stakeholders.
