ASSOCHAM after much effort with the Ministry of Law & Justice has carved out a program on recent
Legal Reforms which have taken place in context of recent changes in India vis-à-vis change in today's global world and changing times which is the need of this era.

The time has come to redeem the pledge of our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of transforming India into a global economic power and a manufacturing hub. The policies of the Government be it “Skill India” and “Make in India” have contributed a great deal in fuelling this noble vision. Our rank in the ease of doing business has considerably improved. The clarion call of the Prime Minister this Independence Day of “Bharat Jodo” and “New India” has to have a resounding and clamorous response from the all sections of the society and most importantly the Indian Legal Fraternity.
A number of important legislations namely: Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016; Real Estate Regulation Act, 2016 and the very recent GST have seen the light of day infusing vibrancy in our legal armoury. Since the life of law is experience and not logic, lot many deliberations and discussions need to take place under the auspices of bright legal minds to decode the complexities and uncertainties associated with the above mentioned legislations and other important legal developments that have recently taken place and this event would be an opportune one for creating a platform for a healthy and meaningful discussion.
ASSOCHAM, in collaboration with Ministry of Law and Justice, with a distinct vision in mind of exploring and delving into the nuances of recent reforms that have been a breath of fresh air for the Indian Legal System, is organizing a National Conference on “The Effects and Implications of Recent Legal Reforms in India” on 16 September 2017.
