Income Computation and Disclosure Standards (ICDS) were made applicable from Assessment Year 2017-18. However, in November 2017, the Delhi High Court in its decision in the case of Chamber of Tax Consultants & Anr Vs. UOI & Ors (400 ITR 178) struck down various ICDS provisions.
Thereafter, vide Finance Act 2018, various ICDS provisions were incorporated as into the Income-tax Act, 1961 (the Act), with retrospective effect from AY 2017-18.
ASSOCHAM is organizing a workshop on the ICDS which will throw insights on the provisions of ICDS, its interplay with the Act, impact of the aforementioned Delhi High Court ruling and impact of the recent amendments in the Act, as per the following schedule:
