TRIUM and New York University's Stern School of Business
Greetings from ASSOCHAM,
Prof. Edward is best known for the development of the Altman Z‐score for predicting bankruptcy which he published in 1968. The Altman Z‐score is a multivariate formula for a measurement of the financial health of a company and a powerful diagnostic tool that forecasts the probability of a company entering bankruptcy. Studies measuring the effectiveness of Z‐Score have shown that the model has 80%–90% reliability. The Z‐score method for predicting bankruptcies 50 years ago, says the next recession will be Characterized by many more bankruptcies and defaults than in previous downturns, and the corporate failures will be larger.
In this backdrop, ASSOCHAM in association with Finance Industry Development Council (FIDC) and support of SREI Equipment Finance Ltd. is organizing a face to face interaction with Prof. Edward I.
