The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are at the heart of industrial activity in India. There are more than 63 Million MSMEs, which account for 45% of industrial production, 30.05% of services sector and employ close to 110 Million people. A dynamic global market coupled with domestic policy focus can unleash opportunities for MSMEs to go global. MSME sector has emerged as a powerful engine of the country’s economic growth, contributing around 45% of the overall exports from India.
We are pleased to inform you that the ASSOCHAM, India’s Apex Chamber for Commerce & Industry along with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, is organising the National Conference on Promoting Exports in Indian MSMEs on Thursday, 27th June, 2019, at the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The prime objective of the Conference is the integration of the Indian MSMEs with the Global Value Chain & Target of USD 100 billion of exports from India by 2020.  Some of the key issues for discussion during the Conference are : Promoting Digitization in MSMEsStrategic Action Plan for MSME Exports, Integration of MSMEs into Global Value Chain, Future of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs);  Digital Trade and E-Commerce; Access to affordable Trade Finance; Export Controls: Emerging and Fundamental Technologies; MSMEs Trade Facilitation through Standardization Activities.
The Conference is expected to be Addressed by Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry Shri Som Parkash, Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Speakers from the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC), EXIM Bank, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Export Inspection Council (EIC), Government of India, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), International Institute of Import & Export Management (IIIEM), Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and Industry Experts.
