KHADI
 not only represented the symbol of Swadesh butSwabhiman, during India’s struggle for Independence. Khadi continuous to be popular and a place of pride for Indians across the globe. Khadi also embodies the symbol of freedom, harmony in diversity and our Nation’s rich textile heritage.
 
On the occasion of the 150th Years of Celebrating the Mahatma, the ASSOCHAM, India’s Apex Chamber for Commerce & Industry in Partnership with the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) proposes to organize a discussion on the occasion on “KHADI- The Fabric of Freedom & Harmony - A Tribute to Mahatma” on Tuesday, 1st October 2019 at the proposed venue of the NDMC Convention Centre (First Floor), New Delhi.
 
ASSOCHAM also proposes to promote the “Swachhata Abhiyan” and the “Say No to Single Use Plastic” campaigns on the occasion.
 
We are pleased to inform that the Hon’ble Union Culture Minister of State (I/C), Hon’ble Union MSME Minister of State, Govt. of India, Secretary NDMC, KVIC, eminent Textiles and Fashion Designers, leading Authors, NGO’s and friends from Media have been invited for the discussion.
