ASSOCHAM National Education Council is organizing the 
Higher Education Summit 2019 – “Transforming Higher Education for meeting future Challenges” in coactions with  Indian College Forum at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi from 15-16th November 2019. ICF is celebrating its 25th year with this 25th Annual Conference and Summit.
 
Sub-themes for technical sessions –
  1. Transforming higher education for:
a)      Converting autonomous colleges as type 3 universities and affiliated colleges as autonomous colleges /degree-granting institutes
b)      Multidisciplinary liberal arts 3 and 4-year degree programme linked with industry and society with flexible choices to students and evaluation based on the outcome of learning as proposed by Draft NEP 2019
c)      Recruitment, retention, career and professional development of teachers for higher education transformation
 
1.      Challenges of preparing students to manage, harness and develop 4.0 technologies namely, AI, IoT, Blockchain, Cloud Computing and Digitization that are transforming the world of work and life of people.
2.      Challenges of mobilization of financial resources for the transformation of higher education for public and private institutions of higher education
 
The Summit is being supported by Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), G D Goenka University, LMP Education Trust and National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi
 
This is a major event as it will deliberate on proposed transformation of higher education through National Education Policy agenda, 2019 submitted by Dr. K. Kasturi Rangan. The Policy recommendations have far-reaching implications for Autonomous Colleges, Affiliated Colleges and Universities run by government, government- supported and self- financing institutions. Besides India has also to respond to world over changes and transformation ushered by 4.0 technology revolution. 
 
The two-day conference is expected to be attended by 200 plus Vice Chancellors, Heads of Colleges, Deans of colleges, persons dealing with higher education in the state and central government from different parts of the country and invited dignitaries from India and abroad.
