“Sustaining a healthier planet will require halving the amount of food loss and waste, and improving farming practices and technologies.”
Dear Sir/Madam

For Agriculture and Food Processing Sector, establishing an uninterrupted series of storage and distribution facilities and transportation activities, both for non perishable and perishable foods, within maintained temperature conditions with right infrastructure and technology, is essential. This requires coordination between multiple stakeholders, capable technical personnel, adequate information, and sound operational management. There is a need for tailored logistics solutions for every mode of transport: road, air, sea, or rail transport to ensure excellence.

There is a need for developing an integrated end-to-end multi modal logistics solution, from point of production to consumer domestic or international. In this regard, ASSOCHAM proposes a national program for

·           Rail, Road, Water Connectivity for Agriculture and food processing logistic
·           Infrastructure Development for supporting forward and backward linkage
·           Support model for Small scale industry with local multimodal transport
·           Low cost transportation solutions
·           Warehousing and Cold Storage setup and connectivity
·           Technology Usage from Block chain to AI for FPOs
Considering the significance of the program may we take this opportunity to invite sector stakeholders to join hands with us and support this initiative. For more information and participation please contact Shagufta Parveen at kolkata@assocham,com or Rita Sarkar at or call 7003152343 / 9007485782.
