The COVID-19 outbreak and nationwide lockdown has impacted the industry severely which has resulted in denting the revenue collections of Centre and the states. The Government is yet to announce the GST collections of April. The reason for delay as per the officials is because the government deferred allowed delayed filing of GSTR 3B returns for 15 days from the due date of April 20 to ease compliance burden on taxpayers during lockdown.
The Government has already announced various measures for providing relief measures under various laws, including GST. As the economic activities are opening in staggered manner, the ease on compliances offered by the Government will also be reduced
