Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on 22
nd January 2021 notified the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Amendment Rules, 2021. With these Amendment Rules, significant changes have been made to the existing Companies (CSR Policy) Rules, 2014.
 
These amendments have introduced some vital changes that require better understanding to ensure compliances. The amendments are aimed at further improving the ease of doing business and effective implementation of CSR activities as well as to make the CSR framework more transparent.
 
The New Rules have made substantial changes to the definition clause of CSR Policy Rules, 2014 by defining new terms like Administrative Overheads, International Organization, Public Authority, and others.
