About Event

Illness to Wellness
is an innovative way and comprehensive approach to cascade awareness about wellness campaign, to address preventive healthcare management and to promote health, hygiene, and well-being of people.

Thyroid hormones regulate the body’s metabolism—the rate at which the body produces energy from nutrients and oxygen—and affects critical body functions, such as energy level and heart rate. Thyroid Disorders can be difficult to diagnose, due to many symptoms being similar to those of other medical conditions.

Worldwide, around 200 million people suffer from thyroid disorders, with almost 50% of cases remaining undiagnosed. This has consequences for health and well-being, since this little organ regulates processes that are essential to survival.

According to a projection from various studies on thyroid disease, it has been estimated that about 42 million people in India suffer from thyroid diseases.

With objective of increasing awareness of thyroid health and educating about prevention and treatment of thyroid diseases, ASSOCHAM is organizing a webinar on Illness to Wellness: “Thyroid & Related Disorders-Impact on Health” scheduled on Thursday, 25th February 2021 from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM.
