Global Value Chain: Backward & Forward Integration

24 August - 28 August, 2021

About Event  | Brochure | Sponsorship Plan

The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed adversities of complete dependence on external trade supplies to support domestic manufacturing. Disruptions in global supply chain, severely impacted indigenous manufacturing value chains, in some cases almost irrevocably. These disruptions have raised a fervent clamour to diversify the existing supply chain and causing companies to explore newer options for sourcing and manufacturing. For India, it would generate host of opportunities to enter the $1-trillion manufacturing base for domestic consumption, as well as shape its global manufacturing value chain for exports.

Taking into consideration of
enabling factors and aspiration to become the alternate sourcing destination for the world, India’s focus to deliver competitive advantage, build resilience in the face of global disruption, developing of innovative supply chain network etc. which will help to build a robust supply chain ecosystem for new manufacturing businesses.

A strategic integration of the national supply chain network together with Prime Minister’s vision for Make in India, can boost the share of manufacturing in real GDP to 25 per cent while taking direct employment generation to about 33 per cent. ASSOCHAM has been supporting and advocating the Vision for Make in India. Now, taking our efforts to the next level, ASSOCHAM has planned three days virtual meet from 24th to 28th August 2021, wherein we would be organising series of sessions under the central theme “Global Value Chain: Backward & Forward Integration”.

The ASSOCHAM Global Value Chain Meet would attract experienced stakeholders’ participation from across world, including policy makers, manufacturing companies, research organisations, technology enablers, MSMEs etc. In this context, we would like to take this opportunity to invite your esteemed organisation to support flagship event.
