About Event

The Government of India launched the Start-up India in 2016. The objective is to boost start-up culture and create an environment of entrepreneurship in India. India is currently the third largest start-up ecosystem globally with 41,000 start-ups and has over 30 unicorns, a giant leap from 4 unicorns in 2015. "India is working for a start-up ecosystem based on the mantra 'Of the Youth, By the Youth, For the Youth'. The Indian start-up ecosystem recorded a total funding amount of $70 Bn across 5,985 funding deals from 2014 to 2020 with a $115.5 Bn valuation.

Hon'ble Prime Minister has recently announced the launch of Rs 1,000-crore 'Start-up India Seed Fund' to support start-ups and help budding entrepreneurs pursue innovative ideas. India's Government is planning for stringent changes in India's foreign investment (FDI) policy for the e-commerce sector.

The rise of start-ups has paved the way for the birth of support systems focusing on mentoring, driving innovation and boosting scale and commercial success in the form of Incubators, Mentors and Accelerators.
Business incubators support the development of start-ups by providing them with advisory and administrative support services. An incubator's primary objective is to produce successful and financially viable firms that can survive on their own. Mentorship is considered vital in the start-up ecosystem for building a successful start-up.

Marketing is the biggest hurdle for most start-ups that are still in their earliest stages. Marketing is like the heart of a business. For a start-up to survive it need marketing and the stronger it is the healthier the business will be. Without marketing, start-up could have ground-breaking, industry-transforming products and services that satisfy the customers’ needs, but never have the chance to reach the target audience.
