the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in association with Institute for Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) is organizing a summit “Positioning Bengal-II, Partnering for Growth, Development and Sustainable Security” on 24th September, 2013 at 10.00 am.
In recent times under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee, we had observed the govt`s effort to augment various measures pertaining to making West Bengal an industrially and commercially vibrant state. The recent success in the panchayat polls following by interaction of the Hon`ble Chief Minister with the captains of the industry in Mumbai is a true reflection of her dynamism and willingness to build up West Bengal
In addition to that Govt of West Bengal has recently launched it’s much awaited “industry policy” too.
The objective of the summit is to discuss various facades of the new industry policy and highlight the positive initiatives taken by the state and results which subsequently emerged out of such efforts-which otherwise is not getting adequate attention from the industry circles.
The event aspires to provide an interactive platform for the state government and the prospective investors; it would also portray the current investment scenario of the state and scope of sustainable security within the geographical periphery of the state.
The rapid growth of the State has drawn our attention towards it and has given us numerous meaningful reasons to organize various programmes in West Bengal in the recent years.
We are happy to inform you that Shri. Partha Chatterjee, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industries, Public Enterprises, Industrial reconstruction, Information Technology, Parliamentary Affairs, and Government of West Bengal has given his kind consent to inaugurate the event.
