North East of India, the vantage entry point for south east of Asia is among the fastest emerging business destination.  The combined strength of eight states, namely: Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura lies in its natural resources.

Over the years there are several infrastructure developments, Food Processing, Energy and Tourism initiatives that have been taken up the state governments of the region. However there is opportunity for more. Therefore, there is need for partnerships for training and competence building, investments, marketing, processing, projects and infrastructure development to accelerate growth and economic activities, leading to more jobs, incomes and opportunities for the people of this region.

The initiative shall engage various development bodies, national level organisations, Ministries and all other stakeholders across the 8 NE states. The three days meet at Guwahati, Assam shall have presence of industry, institutions, FPOs, farmers, subject experts, solution provider to strengthen the sector and shall Champion the growth of the region, showcasing its strengths and opportunities. The advancement in infrastructure, network and connect, financial and resources shall be the highlight of the round tables, conferences, learning sessions and exhibitions.

The ENE-2021 focussed on Agro,Fisheries and Food Processing Sector aims to showcase why and how the use of latest tools, machineries and technologies at all stages of production and delivery; from farming, to processing, packaging to distribution, etc. This will create a wider market and consumer base and also fetch greater returns on investments in North Eastern States.

The program objective ARE:

Work towards interventions for building partnership and networking platform for different stake-holders in context with food processing sector.

Promotion of Agro, Fisheries, Food Processing Sector in NER through participation of industry under dedicated pavilion. Buyer-Seller Meet, entrepreneurial session and role model speakers all three days of event.

Undertake interventions for creating better awareness and offer networking platform to the industries andinvestors.

Harness the potential of the region, business opportunities available and the scope for investment and growth.

Provide valuable inputs to the State Governments for formulating appropriate agro, industrial and development policies.

Facilitate investments and partnerships, enhancing competitiveness and accelerating growth.

Provide opportunities for local youth, women, NGOs and development agencies to interact with the national level institutions, industries, experts and officials.
