Manish Singhal appointed ASSOCHAM’s Secretary General

Mr Manish Singhal, an industry leader with over 35 years of experience in Chamber and Corporate India, took over as Secretary General.

Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), the country's apex business chamber, said that Mr Manish Singhal, an industry leader with over 35 years of experience in Chamber and Corporate India, today took over as Secretary General.
 
Mr Singhal had earlier worked as Deputy Secretary General of The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). He also worked with various Indian transnational companies, including Tata Motors, Eicher (Volvo), Tata Auto Comp Systems, Moser Baer India and BEML to name a few.
 
Mr Singhal succeeds Mr Deepak Sood, who successfully helmed the chamber for the last five years and has stepped down to pursue other interests.
 
“We thank Deepak for his immense contributions to rebuilding the Chamber, which now boasts a healthy balance sheet and delivers quality,” said Mr Sanjay Nayar, President of ASSOCHAM.
 
“We welcome Manish on board and look forward to him furthering ASSOCHAM’s impact. He has a proven track record in policy advocacy and international business, which will help the Chamber scale greater heights”, said the Chamber’s President.

The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is India's oldest apex chamber since 1920. It brings in actionable policy advocacy to strengthen the Indian economic ecosystem by leveraging its network of more than 4,50,000 members, comprising large corporates and MSMEs significantly.
