MSME Development Council

MSME Growth is a key pillar of the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. As the backbone of the Indian economy, MSMEs play a vital role in driving employment, entrepreneurship, business competitiveness, exports, and inclusive economic growth.

Recognising the immense contribution of MSMEs to India's economic development, ASSOCHAM has established the National Council on MSMEs as an Industry Policy Forum dedicated to promoting Ease of Doing Business, public policy advocacy, innovation, and sustainable MSME growth. The Council regularly engages with key stakeholders, government bodies, financial institutions, and industry members to deliberate on sectoral priorities, address policy challenges, and strengthen the MSME ecosystem.

Over the years, the Council has organised several sector-specific summits, conferences, and stakeholder consultations to address the key issues and challenges faced by MSMEs. To recognise the outstanding achievements of India's MSMEs, the Council annually organises the MSME National Excellence Awards, Service Excellence Awards, and the MSME Expo, celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and business excellence across the country.
