As India progresses towards the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of Digital India and Viksit Bharat 2047, the rapidly evolving cyber landscape presents significant challenges to national security, the digital economy, and critical infrastructure. This underscores the need for robust cyber security frameworks, effective cyber laws, ethical technology practices, and proactive regulatory reforms.

The ASSOCHAM National Council on Cyber Security & Cyber Law serves as an Industry Policy Forum, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, regulators, technology experts, infrastructure developers, academia, and global stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience and promote public policy dialogue. The Council works closely with the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, France, and, through its Annual Summit on Cyber & Network Security—officially supported by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India—provides a platform for Central Ministries, State Governments, industry, and academia to deliberate on emerging cyber threats, regulatory developments, and the future of cyber security.

ASSOCHAM has further institutionalised its initiatives through its flagship annual summits, INDISEC and CySecCon, which focus on cyber security, cyber law, emerging technologies, and digital resilience. By fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and industry-led policy advocacy, the Council contributes to building a secure and trusted digital ecosystem that supports the vision of Digital India and a Viksit Bharat 2047.
