Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India\'s leading investment destinations, supported by continuous improvements in Ease of Doing Business under the Business Reforms Action Plan of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The state\'s sustained progress in improving the investment climate has strengthened investor confidence and accelerated industrial and infrastructure development.

The ASSOCHAM Uttar Pradesh State Development Council serves as a leading Industry Policy Forum, working closely with the Central and State Governments, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to advance public policy, regulatory reforms, Ease of Doing Business, business competitiveness, MSME growth, infrastructure development, and sustainable economic development. Through policy advocacy, stakeholder consultations, capacity-building initiatives, research, conferences, and sector-specific engagements, the Council supports industry, facilitates knowledge exchange, and contributes to the state\'s socio-economic growth.

The Council places special emphasis on promoting priority sectors such as Food Processing, Handloom & Textiles, IT & ITES, Tourism, Renewable Energy, Films & Entertainment, Electronics Manufacturing, MSMEs, Pharmaceuticals, Logistics & Warehousing, Hospitality, and Exports by strengthening industry–government collaboration and fostering investment, innovation, and business opportunities across Uttar Pradesh.
