Chandigarh UT Development Council

Chandigarh, the shared capital of Punjab and Haryana, is also a Union Territory. One of India\'s earliest planned cities in the post-independence era, it is internationally renowned for its architecture, urban planning, and high quality of infrastructure. The Union Territory Administration is committed to fostering a progressive business environment, and the city is emerging as a hub for the services sector, education, healthcare, information technology (IT), food processing, and other high-growth industries. Recognising the city\'s growth potential, the ASSOCHAM Chandigarh Development Council serves as a leading Industry Policy Forum, working closely with the Union Territory Administration, the Central Government, industry, and other stakeholders to advance public policy, regulatory reforms, Ease of Doing Business, MSME growth, investment promotion, infrastructure development, and business competitiveness. Through policy advocacy and industry–government collaboration, the Council supports initiatives that strengthen Chandigarh\'s economic and industrial ecosystem.

Through stakeholder consultations, conferences, knowledge initiatives, strategic partnerships, and sector-specific engagements, the Council serves as a dynamic platform for industry, government, academia, and civil society.
