The ASSOCHAM National Council on Banking serves as an Industry Policy Forum and a leading industry voice, addressing key challenges and opportunities across the banking and financial services sector. The Council plays a pivotal role in strengthening collaboration between industry, regulators, financial institutions, and policymakers to promote regulatory reforms, business competitiveness, and a resilient financial ecosystem.

Key stakeholders associated with the Council include the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Ministry of Finance, World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), NABARD, SIDBI, National Housing Bank (NHB), Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), and Co-operative Banks, among others.

Through regular council meetings, webinars, summits, e-summits, round-table discussions, and knowledge initiatives, the Council promotes public policy dialogue, economic reforms, industry insights, and collaborative solutions that contribute to a stronger banking sector and a developed Indian economy.
