India stands out globally for its extensive renewable energy infrastructure, including solar power, hydro & PSP, wind power, energy storage, and RE management solutions. The ASSOCHAM National Council on Renewable Energy serves as a key platform for policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement, fostering interactions between the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Power, CEA, SECI, CERC, IREDA, and industry players.

The Council has been pivotal in shaping policies and strengthening the renewable energy supply chain. It has conducted studies aimed at developing a self-sustaining renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem in India, aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

These include the State Rooftop Solar Attractiveness Index (SARAL), study on Supporting Solar Manufacturing, and the Development of an Integrated and modern solar ecosystem in the country.
