India\'s logistics and warehousing ecosystem is undergoing a monumental structural shift, emerging as a critical cornerstone for the nation\'s economic ambitions toward building a Viksit Bharat. Driven by robust domestic consumption, manufacturing incentives, and the exponential rise of quick-commerce and organized retail, India\'s logistics sector has crossed USD 380 billion in annual value. This momentum has pushed the demand for sophisticated, institutional-grade infrastructure to an all-time high. Modern warehousing absorption is projected to approach 45 million square feet, with Grade-A stock expanding rapidly at a CAGR of 13.85%. Simultaneously, driven by strict compliance needs in pharmaceuticals and an expanding food-processing sector, the domestic cold chain market is scaling aggressively, projected to reach INR 6,191 billion by 2034.

While this structural growth is evident, the industry must still navigate key challenges including market fragmentation, high operational and energy costs, and the critical need for seamless multimodal connectivity. The integration of Industry 4.0 paradigms—ranging from Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) to real-time IoT temperature visibility—is essential to overcome these bottlenecks and redefine international benchmarking for Indiansupply chains. In alignment with the National Logistics Policy and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, ASSOCHAM is organizing The Cold Chain & Warehousing Summit: Building Ecosystems for Viksit Bharat, The summit serves as a premier collaborative platform to address these challenges head-on, driving the creation of a highly competitive, resilient, and future-ready logistics grid.

Theme Overview: Building Ecosystems for Viksit Bharat
